700 acoustic modeled guitar.
Instant Access To The Classics
The Variax guitar takes Line 6’s exclusive modeling technology and
injects it into a high-quality, custom-crafted solid-body guitar so you can get
instant access to the top sounds from a variety of classic 6- and 12-string
electric and acoustic guitars and fretted instruments like a resonator, banjo,
and electric sitar.
Unlike regular electric guitars that have standard magnetic pickups,
the Variax detects its string vibrations through a hexaphonic bridge pickup that then converts
the signal into digital, and processes it using software algorithms that
reconvert the signal to analog so it can be sent directly out to a guitar amp.

As a
result, your single-coil sounds will remain noise-free, your acoustic instrument sounds can be
played at higher volumes without feedback, and a variety of classic guitar tones can be at your fingertips with a flick of the switch.
The Variax features a contoured alder body,
maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, 22 medium frets, and a 25-1/2" scale
length. It can be powered either by onboard batteries or from footswitch. Includes gig bag and an A/B
footswitch.
